Canon 1800 Ink Waste Clearance:
1. Switch off the printer and unplug the power cord to ensure safety.
2. Open the front cover of the printer, open the scanner cover, remove the ink cartridge and gently shake it to remove the remaining ink.
3. Wipe off any remaining ink with a clean, dry cloth.
4. Open the maintenance cover, lift the ink waste lever, press the ink waste clear button, and wait for the ink waste to clear.
5. Once the wastage is complete, reset the ink waste lever and close the maintenance cover.
6. Plug in the power cord, switch on the printer, and wait for it to boot up.
7. Reinstall the ink cartridge into the printer, close the scanner cover and front cover of the printer.
8. Print a test page to verify that the waste clearing process was successful.
